Located in the Place du Palais Royal, this boutique was rethought of in a manner that respects the historic site. The old woodwork and the tight windows 50cm deep were conserved. The floor was simply renovated in a white tiling that is sober and authentic.
A contemporary work was realized on the back wall: a large opaque mirror covers its entire surface. It hides a wall of video screens. In front of the mirror are two superimposed doors that take up the entire width of the space, one high up and the other near the floor.
For the fitting rooms, a folding cabin is placed to the side of the front window with a double curtain that one can unfold. When it is folded up, the fitting room does not take up any space wider than the wooden furniture pieces at its side.
A wooden shutter, lacquered in black, closes onto the gallery. The space is skillfully lighted by the play of screens behind the mirror, by the natural light from the Palais Royal, and by delicate and discreetly integrated lights.
