Located in the Marais neighborhood in Paris, along the Charlemagne High School, the Media Centre project is immersed in a historical architectural environment.
The space does not lean against the ancient wall of Philippe Auguste, but rises a few meters above it, on the opposite side.
A floating horizontal slab divides a series of constructions of various heights and widths on two levels. These constructions are split by vegetation. Each space is dedicated to a specific section: music, media, library, reading room.
Interior alleys in the lower levels enable circulation from one space to the next. In the same way, the exterior flagstone which circles around the building gives access to these sections from the gardens while offering a dominating view on the Seine.
