CONTEMPORARY ART FOUNDATION
DATE : 2003
AREA : 2 000 m²
CLIENT : Private
Commissioned by a private client, this Contemporary Art Foundation project must reflect the spirit of the client's collection as well as make use of the back garden, great added value to the Faubourg Saint-Antoine site.
Taking into account these two parameters, the volume is divided into two blocks that communicate with glass footbridges on two floors. The building's partition creates an opening onto the interior garden and enables a division between permanent and temporary exhibits.
The façade for the first two exhibition floors is covered by a metallic skin, which filters light at ceiling level.
Vegetation runs throughout the building's height, from its glass lower section dedicated to welcoming visitors, all the way through to the terrace on the upper floor.
